Official Rules – The Knights of Art Portrait Photography Contest

1.⁠ Eligibility

This competition is open to professional and amateur photographers worldwide, aged 18 years or older. Employees of The Knights of Art Magazine and their immediate families are not eligible to participate. The competition is void where prohibited by law.

2.⁠ Contest Period

The Knights of Art Portrait Photography Contest begins on March 1, 2025, and ends at 11:59 PM GMT on April 15, 2025. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.

3.⁠ How to Enter

To enter, participants must submit their portrait photograph(s) via the official contest form or by email to: submit@theknightsofart.com. There is no entry fee required. Each participant may submit up to 15 individual portrait photographs.

4.⁠ Judging and Winner Selection

Entries will be judged by a panel of international photographers and artists based on creativity, composition, technical execution, and emotional impact. The panel will consist of at least five recognized professionals in the field of photography and visual arts. Winners will be selected on or about April 25, 2025. The decisions of the judges are final and binding.

5.⁠ Prizes

Winners will receive:

•⁠ Publication in The Knights of Art Magazine (both digital and print editions)
•⁠ Global exposure across the magazine’s social media platforms
•⁠ The opportunity to showcase their work to an international audience

There will be no financial compensation in place of the stated prizes. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged.

6.⁠ Rights and Usage

By submitting an entry, participants grant The Knights of Art Magazine a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and display their submitted photograph(s) for promotional purposes, including but not limited to use in print and digital formats, marketing, and social media, with full credit to the photographer. The copyright of the submitted photograph(s) remains with the photographer. This license does not permit third-party resale or commercial use without additional consent from the photographer.

7.⁠ Privacy and Data Protection

Participants’ personal information will only be used for the contest and will not be shared with third parties without prior consent. By entering the contest, participants agree to the collection and processing of their personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as applicable.

8.⁠ Disqualification

Entries that do not comply with the rules or are incomplete or fraudulent will be disqualified. The Knights of Art Magazine reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who engages in disruptive behavior or violates any of the official rules.

9.⁠ Limitation of Liability

By entering the contest, participants release The Knights of Art Magazine, its affiliates, employees, and agents from any liability, injury, loss, or damage resulting from the contest or the prize awarded. This includes any technical failures that may prevent participation or affect the integrity of the contest.

10.⁠ General Terms

•⁠ The Knights of Art Magazine reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the contest at any time for any reason.
•⁠ This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
•⁠ Any disputes arising from this contest will be governed by the laws of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
