Born and raised in Russia and residing in Finland for almost a decade, Anna Alimpieva brings a rare blend of cultural perspective and artistic sensitivity to contemporary photography. Originally trained as an accountant, she discovered her true calling behind the camera in 2011. After years of exploring diverse genres, she found her deepest connection in artistic portraiture, where intimacy, soul, and storytelling converge.

For Anna, photography is more than an image—it is a dialogue of empathy. Many of her most compelling works feature children, whose presence she captures with authenticity and tenderness, creating portraits that feel as if they were made for the dearest of loved ones. Her style balances fine art aesthetics with raw emotional truth, turning each frame into a lasting imprint of human spirit.

Anna’s artistry and dedication have been recognized worldwide. She is a member of the Eurasian Photographers Association, the Art Portrait Club, and the International Association of Art Photographers (IAAP), where she holds the distinguished title of EIAAP. In a remarkably short span of just 18 months, she has earned 20 FIAP gold medals, alongside numerous other awards, underscoring her status as one of the most decorated emerging photographers on the global stage.

In 2020, Anna’s vision was further validated when she was named a winner of the 10th 35AWARDS, one of the largest and most competitive photography contests in the world. Her consistent success in international competitions affirms both her technical mastery and her capacity to connect across cultures through the universal language of photography.
